Make a realistic list of goals and some ideas.  Fall is a crazy season where it can get too cold for outdoor gatherings on a week to week basis, so use of time is critical. Switching up any pillows to outdoor furniture is a quick and easy way to pumpkin spice up your space. Keeping leaves at bay can also help keep your space more organized and party ready.

Have a Heating Plan

Make sure you’re keeping warm,  temperatures can drop significantly when it becomes nighttime. The temperature drop is no reason to to send your guests or family packing inside- having blankets is a quick and easy fix. A fire pit, gas or old fashion wood, is a great idea as well. If you’d like to get really fancy- you can even look into a large outdoor heater.

Keep the lights on and be creative. Tea lanterns are a quick and creative way to light up your deck. String lights come in a variety of options from more decorative edison style bulbs to christmas style lights. There is always the option to run extension cords and bring lamps out, but this isn’t always the best option. Solar powered lighting can help save you from dealing with wires, and they can offer more flexibility on light placement.
